Faraya: Arrest operation was qualitative, conducted under difficult conditions
Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya said on Monday that security forces had arrested the three terrorists responsible for the attack in Karak Governorate, with no injuries reported among security personnel. He noted that the operation to apprehend the terrorists was a high-quality security operation carried out under difficult circumstances.
Speaking at a press conference, Al-Faraya added that the arrest of the perpetrators did not mean the work was over, stressing that the state would continue its investigations, uncover all the circumstances surrounding the crime, and hold accountable anyone proven to have been involved in planning, incitement, assistance or facilitation, in accordance with the law.
He said the state would not allow anyone involved to escape legal accountability.
Al-Faraya mourned the victims of the attack and offered his condolences to their families, His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Jordanian people, saying: 'We are now more reassured that the hand of justice has reached the perpetrators of this heinous terrorist crime, and that the blood of our martyrs will not have been shed in vain.'
