Gov's says all state agencies working to apprehend Karak attack perpetrators
Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan affirmed that all state agencies are working to arrest the perpetrators of the terrorist attack on a church in Humud village in Karak Governorate and ensure they receive the punishment they deserve.
Speaking during a Cabinet meeting on Sunday, Hassan noted that over the past 40 years, extremism, hard-line ideology, and takfiri thought had unfortunately begun to spread, stressing the need to continue and intensify efforts to eradicate them at their roots, as they have absolutely no place in the homeland or society.
He emphasized that this is not merely a security battle, but also a battle of awareness and ideas. Nations and societies collapse when discord, fanaticism, racism, and extremism spread within them.
Hassan said diversity, cohesion, and openness are what foster intellectual, scientific, civilizational, and cultural prosperity and build distinguished societies. He added that these are among the principles upon which the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was founded and which the Jordanian people, under their wise Hashemite leadership, have upheld, making the Kingdom a beacon in the region.
