Jordanian community in Washington holds solidarity vigil for Karak attack victims
In a scene reflecting unity, solidarity, and national belonging, members of the Jordanian community in Washington, D.C., gathered at the Jordanian Embassy on Saturday evening to commemorate the victims of the terrorist attack that struck Karak Governorate on Friday.
The participants were received by Jordan’s Ambassador to the United States, Dina Kawar, and several embassy staff members. They joined hands and lit candles in tribute to the victims, expressing their profound sorrow and solidarity with the victims’ families and the Jordanian people as a whole.
The community initiative highlighted the strong bonds uniting Jordanians at home and abroad, as well as their support for their homeland and Hashemite leadership under His Majesty King Abdullah II. Participants reaffirmed that terrorism and extremism would not undermine Jordan’s unity, security, and stability, nor the values of brotherhood and coexistence that distinguish Jordanian society.
