FM, Australian counterpart discuss ways to boost cooperation
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi met with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong on Tuesday, on the sidelines of His Majesty King Abdullah II's state visit to Australia.
The two ministers stressed the importance of the King's visit and its outcomes, which will help expand cooperation between Jordan and Australia in diverse fields and strengthen coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Safadi and Wong discussed ways to increase cooperation between the two countries in several areas, including economy, trade, investment, defense, security, tourism and education.
The ministers also discussed regional developments and efforts aimed at ending the escalation and restoring security and stability.
