Gov't to cover 50% of wages for Jordanian workers at Al-Rawda factories
Government Communication Minister Mohammad Momani said the Cabinet has approved a package of incentives for Al-Rawda Industrial City in the Ma'an Development Area, including phased electricity tariff reductions of up to 75%, a 50% reduction in land prices, and support for the employment of local workers.
Speaking at a press conference following the Cabinet session held in Ma'an Governorate on Sunday, Momani said the Ministry of Labour will cover 50% of the minimum wage for Jordanian workers employed in factories established in Al-Rawda Industrial City.
The support package will also include JOD 25 per month toward social security contributions and an additional JOD 25 per month for transportation costs.
