Jordan exempts UNRWA from JD3.3 million textbook costs
The Cabinet, during a session held in Ma'an Governorate on Sunday and chaired by Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan, approved exempting the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) from paying for school textbooks for the current academic year.
The value of the textbooks exceeds JOD 3.3 million.
The decision comes as part of Jordan's continued support for the agency and its efforts to enable UNRWA to maintain the delivery of essential services to Palestinian refugees in the Kingdom.
