Minister of Government Communication and Government Spokesperson Dr. Mohammad Momani underscored the vital importance of keeping official government media tools aligned with the rapid technological advancements sweeping the digital media landscape.
Speaking in Amman on Wednesday at the opening of a digital communication and social media capacity-building workshop organized by the Ministry of Government Communication in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Momani noted that the training session –led by a team of experts from Meta (the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads) –aims to upgrade the competencies of government media personnel and brief them on cutting-edge digital media methodologies.
Momani stressed that Jordan possesses a successful track record in digital media performance, highlighting the ongoing imperative to monitor modern media developments, tools, and platforms. He also pointed out the necessity of adapting to evolving journalistic and communicative formats to maximize public outreach and audience engagement.
