eFAWATEERcom processes JD1.35 billion in transactions in August
The number of transactions processed through Jordan’s eFAWATEERcom system rose by 8.4% in August 2026 to reach 7.94 million transactions, compared with 7.32 million transactions in July. However, the value of transactions fell by 4.1% to JD 1.35 billion, down from JD 1.41 billion in July.
According to the monthly payment systems report issued by the Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC), and monitored by Ammon News, the eFAWATEERcom system processed approximately 56.25 million transactions since the beginning of the year, with a total value of JD 10.54 billion.
The total number of eFAWATEERcom users reached 5.39 million, an increase of 1%, with 53,280 new users, compared with 5.34 million users in July.
According to the data, eFAWATEERcom had 743 billers offering 2,601 services.
Cash transactions totaled approximately 1.42 million, accounting for 17.9%, while digital transactions reached 6.52 million, representing 82.1% of the total.
Government services recorded the highest transaction value at JD 820 million, followed by e-wallet companies and payment service providers at JD 191 million, and water and electricity services at JD 102 million. Financing and financial services reached JD 71 million, followed by education at JD 52 million.
Telecommunications services accounted for JD 38 million, while trade and services and banks each recorded approximately JD 19 million. Transport and travel and gas and energy each recorded around JD 13 million.
