Jordan dispatches 13th humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon
Jordan dispatched its 13th humanitarian aid convoy today through the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army and the World Food Programme (WFP), to address humanitarian needs in affected areas.
The convoy was prepared based on a field assessment of needs, with the aim of supporting the health sector and providing essential supplies to the most vulnerable groups. In coordination with its international partners, the JHCO continues to organize and direct aid to priority sectors.
The convoy consisted of 14 trucks loaded with medical supplies and personal hygiene kits.
The convoy reflects the continuation of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’s longstanding commitment to providing humanitarian assistance and support to sisterly nations, underscoring Jordan’s humanitarian role in standing alongside those affected and in need.
The organization expressed its appreciation to the Syrian authorities for their cooperation in facilitating the convoy’s passage, ensuring that aid reaches its intended beneficiaries and supports ongoing humanitarian efforts.
It is worth noting that the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization works in coordination with official Lebanese authorities to ensure aid reaches the areas most affected by the crisis and addresses the most pressing humanitarian needs. Since the beginning of the crisis, Jordan has sent 12 aid convoys comprising 239 trucks carrying 2,756 tons of various relief supplies.
