Jordanian Field Hospital South Gaza/11 teams arrive at mission
As part of Jordan’s ongoing humanitarian and medical efforts to support Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, teams from the Jordanian Field Hospital South Gaza/11 arrived at their mission site on Wednesday to provide medical and relief services and help ease the humanitarian situation in the Strip.
The medical and administrative teams began preparations upon arrival, including equipping clinics and medical facilities and putting work plans into operation to receive patients in the coming days. The preparations are intended to ensure the provision of medical services efficiently and in accordance with humanitarian and relief standards.
The hospital has medical and administrative personnel from various medical, nursing and technical specialties, including general surgery, internal medicine, orthopedics, general medicine, anesthesia and intensive care, dermatology, vascular surgery, pediatric and neonatal surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine, maxillofacial surgery and neurosurgery. It also has a mobile unit supporting amputees with prosthetic limbs.
The Jordanian Field Hospital South Gaza/10 treated 35,000 patients during its mission, performed 668 major and minor surgical procedures, and contributed to fitting 214 upper- and lower-limb prostheses.
