The two sides discussed ways to strengthen military cooperation and coordination, and to advance the partnership between Jordan and Germany in support of shared interests, defense capabilities, and regional security and stability.
Huneiti and the visiting delegation were briefed on key security and regional developments, along with the tasks carried out by the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) in confronting various threats, safeguarding the Kingdom's security and sovereignty, and combating smuggling and infiltration. The briefing also covered humanitarian operations the armed forces conduct in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
Huneiti stressed the importance of the strategic partnership between Jordan and Germany, underscoring his commitment to expanding military cooperation and expertise exchange to strengthen both countries' capacity to address shared challenges and bolster regional security.
Hilmer, for his part, praised the role Jordan plays under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II in reinforcing regional security and stability. He commended the efforts of the JAF in both military and humanitarian fields and affirmed Germany's continued support for cooperation between the two countries.
