Jordan, Bahrain call for commitment to US-Iran ceasefire
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, received a phone call on Tuesday evening from Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.
Safadi and Al Zayani affirmed the strength and depth of the fraternal relations between the two brotherly kingdoms, and their shared commitment to further strengthening and developing ties in a way that serves the interests of both countries and peoples.
The two ministers discussed regional developments, the repercussions of the escalation in the region, and efforts aimed at restoring calm and enhancing security and stability.
They stressed the need to uphold the ceasefire between the United States and Iran and to reach a comprehensive solution to the crisis that addresses all causes of tension and achieves security and stability in the region.
The ministers also affirmed the solidarity of the two kingdoms in confronting Iranian attacks against them and against Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
