The Ministry of Public Works and Housing will begin on Saturday, work to complete maintenance on new sections of As-Salam- Dead Sea road.
The project is part of the ministry’s comprehensive road maintenance plan and is being carried out under the central tender for asphalt pavement and water drainage structure maintenance in the Central Region.
The works include removing the existing asphalt layers, laying new polymer-modified asphalt mixes, and implementing integrated road safety measures, including road markings, installation of road reflectors, and the placement of necessary directional and warning signs.
Traffic diversions will be implemented in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate as part of a traffic management plan aimed at maintaining smooth traffic flow. The works will be carried out in successive phases, using temporary diversions equipped with all required road safety features and warning signage.
The Ministry of Public Works and Housing urged road users to comply with traffic and warning signs at work sites, follow the instructions of ministry and public security personnel, and adhere to safe driving practices to ensure the safety of citizens and workers.
