Government: No orders issued to evacuate Aqaba airport or seaport
The Jordanian government on Sunday denied reports that authorities had ordered the evacuation of Aqaba Airport or the seaport.
Government spokesperson and Minister of Government Communication Dr. Mohammad Momani said that both the airport and the port are operating normally, adding that any potential risks would be announced by the relevant Jordanian authorities in accordance with established procedures, including the immediate activation of warning sirens when necessary.
Momani also stated that Jordanian authorities had not recorded any potential threats during the past several hours.
