Company registrations in Kingdom rose by 3% to 3,071 in 1st 5 months
The number of companies registered in the Kingdom has surged by 3% during the January -May period, compared to last year.
According to a report issued by the Companies Control Department (CCD), a total of 3,071 companies were registered since the beginning of this year, compared to 2,982 during the same period last year.
The report also revealed the total registered capital since the beginning of this year has exceeded JD84 million.
Limited liability companies were the most frequently registered type of company in 2026, totaling 2,339 firms, representing 76.2% of all registered entities with registered capital exceeding JD40 million.
Private shareholding companies ranked 2nd, with registered capital surpassing JD18 million.
Meanwhile, the number of companies whose registration was either revoked or repealed this year decreased by 18%, compared to 2025.
During the first five months of this year, registration of 393 companies was either revoked or repealed, compared to 482 during the same period last year.
The statistics also showed a 14% rise in the net increase of new company capital, compared to 2025.
Regarding the electronic registration of companies since launch of the department's e-services late 2020, the cumulative number of companies registered electronically has reached 39,084.
A total of 2,567,467 e-follow-up requests were recorded, while 96,073 copies of archives were issued online, in addition to 558,937 electronic certificates.
