Army foils drugs smuggling attempt using electronically guided balloons
The Eastern Military Zone thwarted early Wednesday morning an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics, transported via electronically guided balloons, across its border.
Border Guard units, through surveillance, detected the balloons, intercepted them, and intercepted their cargo within Jordanian territory in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department.
The seized narcotics were transferred to the relevant authorities for further action.
