Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan has issued an official circular declaring Monday, May 25, a public holiday for ministries, government departments, public institutions, official universities, municipalities, joint services councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and fully state-owned companies in celebration of Jordan’s Independence Day.
In a separate circular issued Monday, the Prime Minister also announced that the Eid al-Adha holiday will take place from the morning of Tuesday, May 26, through the evening of Saturday, May 30.
Institutions whose nature of work requires otherwise are exempt from the holiday decisions.
