Jordan Customs seizes, destroys sorcery items hidden in postal parcels
Jordan Customs Department (JCD) spokesperson said customs officers at the E-Commerce Customs Center have seized and destroyed a large quantity of sorcery-related items found in various postal parcels over the past six months.
He added that the items were often concealed inside packages containing clothing, children’s toys, or accessories, using deceptive methods to hide them within shipments.
Customs officers identified suspicious parcels based on specific indicators and subjected them to detailed inspections, leading to the discovery of the materials in several packages.
The seized items were confiscated and formally impounded, and a specialized committee was formed to destroy them in accordance with approved procedures after consulting the General Iftaa Department.
Jordan Customs urged citizens and service users to comply with applicable laws and avoid ordering or importing materials that violate legal or social norms, affirming continued strict monitoring of postal parcels as part of efforts to protect society and maintain public safety.
