Prime Minister meets Syrian delegation ahead of key talks
Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan on Sunday received the Syrian ministerial delegation participating in the second session of the Jordanian-Syrian Higher Coordination Council, prior to its convening in Amman.
Hassan stressed the importance of building on the cooperation achieved with Syria, and the need to invest in the available opportunities, especially in the areas of water, transportation, energy, ports and railway connectivity.
He also highlighted the importance of the efforts made within the framework of the Supreme Coordination Council between the two countries, which have had a significant positive impact on cooperation in the trade, energy and security sectors.
The Prime Minister stressed Jordan’s position, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in support of Syria’s unity, sovereignty, stability, and the building of its institutions.
Syria’s success is Jordan’s success. We are putting our capabilities at the disposal of our Syrian brothers in various fields, Hassan said.
For his part, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani, praised Jordan's positions under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in support of Syria.
We are keen to exert the utmost effort possible to reach the best possible reality of cooperation that serves the two brotherly countries, al-Shaibani noted.
