In a successful operation on its northern border, the Eastern Military Zone intercepted 'nine attempts' to smuggle large quantities of narcotics using electronically guided balloons. These balloons were launched simultaneously, exploiting the prevailing weather conditions to distract border guard units and evade detection.

Meanwhile, on its western border, the Southern Military Zone thwarted a smuggling attempt using a drone carrying approximately one hundred kilograms of hashish.

Through meticulous surveillance and monitoring, and in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, border guard units in both the Eastern and Southern regions successfully intercepted and downed all attempts at their respective locations. The drones and their cargo were intercepted within Jordanian territory, and the seized narcotics were handed over to the relevant authorities for further action.
