CARC calls on passengers to check flight schedules before heading to airport
Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), Dhaifallah Suleiman Farajat, on Saturday urged travelers departing from and arriving in the Kingdom to contact their airlines directly to confirm flight schedules before heading to the airport.
Farajat said the current regional developments, along with airspace closures in several neighboring countries, may lead to slower-than-usual air traffic movement.
He explained that the measure aims to ensure the highest safety standards and prevent congestion inside airport terminals that could result from potential changes to flight schedules.
The CARC affirmed that it is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with all relevant authorities to ensure continued operations and provide necessary facilitation for passengers amid the exceptional circumstances facing the region.
