PSD chief conveys King's greetings to security personnel, orders activation of Ramadan plans
Director of Public Security Directorate (PSD), Maj. Gen. Obaidullah Maaytah, on Tuesday chaired an expanded security meeting, attended by his assistants and senior officers of the Directorate, during which he conveyed the greetings, appreciation and confidence of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to all Public Security personnel, in appreciation of their exceptional and continuous efforts in maintaining security and preserving stability around the clock.
Maaytah stressed that the royal directives represent the firm approach and constant compass to continue working and giving, and to raise the level of security services provided to citizens, through the integration of efforts between the various formations and units of the directorate, in a way that enhances the rule of law and consolidates the foundations of security and stability.
Also, he directed the activation of security and traffic plans prepared for the holy month of Ramadan, to deal firmly and efficiently with any criminal manifestations or negative behaviors that may emerge during the holy month, such as theft, pickpocketing, begging and fights, stressing the need to intensify field monitoring and enhance security deployment in various areas.
