Rainfall to extend briefly into parts of central Jordan
The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) announced that dusty conditions will prevail across the Kingdom on Saturday, with relatively cold weather in most regions and relatively warm conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Clouds are expected at various altitudes, with scattered rain showers forecast in northern parts of the country.
Showers may briefly extend to limited areas in central regions, the JMD noted.
Winds will be westerly and active, accompanied by strong gusts that could reach speeds of 60–70 km/h.
During the night, dust concentrations are expected to decrease. The weather will turn cold in most areas and relatively cold in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with clouds continuing at different elevations. Winds will shift to southwesterly, moderate in speed, becoming active at times.
The JMD warned of reduced or near-zero horizontal visibility during daytime hours due to dust in many areas, particularly along external roads. It also cautioned against strong wind speeds and accompanying gusts.
Residents suffering from asthma and allergies were advised to take necessary precautions, as weather conditions are not suitable for outdoor activities such as trips and excursions.
Authorities further warned of slippery roads in areas experiencing rainfall.
