Commercial registrations surge in 2025 as economic activity quickens
Statistical data from the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply reveals a significant uptick in the registration of individual enterprises and trade names during 2025, signaling a robust expansion in Jordan's entrepreneurial landscape.
According to the Ministry's year-end figures, the number of newly registered individual enterprises reached 25,600 in 2025, marking a sharp increase from the 21,499 registrations recorded during the same period in 2024. This growth in the commercial registry highlights an accelerating trend in small-scale business formation across the Kingdom.
The data further shows that the Central Trade Registry Department processed 10,023 new trade names in 2025, compared to 7,586 in the previous year. Analysts suggest the rise reflects a heightened pace of economic activity and a growing appetite for brand-led entrepreneurship.
In addition to new business formations, the Ministry registered 228 commercial agencies and 44 commercial agents and brokers over the past year. Highlighting the dynamic nature of the current market, approximately 11,089 existing trade names underwent formal amendments.
