Jordan expresses regret over targeting of Qatari embassy in Ukraine
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed its deep regret over the damage sustained by the Qatari Embassy building in Ukraine as a result of the shelling that targeted the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.
Ambassador Fouad Majali, the Ministry’s official spokesperson, emphasized the necessity of respecting international law and the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which guarantees the protection of diplomatic missions and their personnel.
Majali also reiterated the Kingdom's position calling for a peaceful resolution to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis through dialogue.
