Social Development Ministry provides temporary shelter for 102 families
The Ministry of Social Development has been closely monitoring the impact of the severe weather affecting the Kingdom and the resulting emergency relief efforts that necessitated immediate intervention.
In a statement, the Ministry confirmed that it has assisted a total of 513 families affected by the weather conditions, with the governorates of Irbid and Karak reporting the highest number of cases.
The Ministry explained that its interventions included providing temporary shelter for 102 families who were relocated to safe locations. In addition, humanitarian and relief aid was provided to affected families based on their individual needs.
The aid included food parcels, heaters, kerosene vouchers, shopping vouchers, and cash assistance, all aimed at mitigating the effects of the weather on these families.
The Ministry of Social Development noted that its field teams have been working around the clock since the onset of the weather conditions, handling all cases with professionalism and responsibility through teams deployed across directorates and relief centers, and in continuous coordination with relevant official bodies.
