Israeli forces close Atara gate, set up checkpoints north of Ramallah
Israeli forces closed the iron gate at the entrance to the town of Atara on Monday morning and erected a checkpoint at the entrances to Nabi Saleh and Aboud, north of Ramallah.
Israeli troops closed the main entrance to Atara, forcing residents to take lengthy alternative routes to reach their destinations.
Israeli forces also erected two military checkpoints near the illegal colony of Halamish, built on land belonging to Nabi Saleh, and at the entrance to the village of Aboud. Soldiers stopped and searched several vehicles and checked the IDs of their passengers, causing severe traffic congestion in the area.
