Netanyahu appoints his military secretary as next Mossad head
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided Thursday to appoint his military secretary, Major General Roman Gofman, as the next head of the Mossad, according to Israel Hayom.
The Prime Minister's Office stated that 'After interviewing various candidates, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to appoint his military secretary, Major General Roman Gofman, to the position of head of the Mossad for Intelligence and Special Operations of the State of Israel.'
'Major General Roman Goffman is a highly qualified officer,' Netanyahu's office added. 'His appointment as the Prime Minister's military secretary in the midst of the Rebirth War proved that he possesses exceptional professional abilities, starting from his rapid entry into the position and ending with his immediate and significant involvement in the seven theaters of the war.
Goffman was in continuous contact with all the intelligence services, and especially with the Mossad.'
