International Youth Camp "Jordan, Land of Peace 2025" launches in Umm el-Jimal
The 'Jordan, Land of Peace 2025' International Youth Camp kicked off on Monday at the Umm el-Jimal archaeological site.
The Umm el-Jimal Municipality said in a statement that the camp, organized in cooperation with the Southern Badia Center for Awareness and Volunteer Work, featured artistic, folkloric, and cultural performances, a bazaar, and the distribution of gifts provided by the Humanity First organization.
The program also included a tour of the archaeological site and a ceremony honoring the participants.
The municipality said the camp aims to bring together youth from different cultures in Jordan to foster a shared humanitarian experience that leaves a lasting positive impact.
It added that this first-of-its-kind event in Umm el-Jimal includes participants from several Arab countries and seeks to promote tourism and highlight the town’s archaeological heritage
