Army chief, Romanian envoy discuss military cooperation
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, on Thursday discussed ways to enhance military cooperation and coordination between the Jordanian and Romanian armed forces.
During a meeting held at the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)'s General Command with Romanian Ambassador to Amman, George Maior, and his accompanying delegation, the two sides went over means to develop areas of joint partnership.
The collaboration mainly focuses on training, capacity building, and expertise exchange to serve common interests and contribute to support efforts to achieve regional security and stability.
Talking at the meeting, Huneiti emphasized the 'deep-rooted' bilateral relations, expressing the JAF's keenness to expand joint cooperation in various military and security fields.
The Romanian envoy, in turn, expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom's efforts made under His Majesty King Abdullah II's leadership in enhancing security and stability in the region.
The diplomat also praised the JAF's significant role and its distinguished level in the areas of training and military professionalism.
