House finance committee recommends gov't to increase salaries, reduce budget by JD40mln
The Lower House Finance Committee announced in a press conference on Thursday, its recommendations to the government regarding the general budget for the year 2025.
The head of the committee, Dr. Nimer Sleihat, said that the committee recommended reducing JD20 million from the expenditures and expenses of the general budget, and JD20 million from government units.
Sleihat stressed that the committee recommended converting the JD40 million resulting from the reduction into an increase in salaries for public sector employees and retirees.
