Jordan participates in 5th conference of Iraqi surgeons
The Jordanian Association of Surgeons / Doctors Syndicate participated in the work of the fifth conference of the Iraqi Society of Surgeons, which started on last Friday in Baghdad for two days.
The Association was represented by its President, Brigadier General Dr Mohammad Al-Harout, the Association's Advisor, MP Dr Abdulhadi Al-Barizat, and the member Dr Haitham Al-Rebeihat.
The conference, organized by the Iraqi Society of Surgeons and chaired by Professor Khalid Karim Rajab, with regional and international participation, discussed the mechanisms of diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases and tumours, injuries, complex hernia treatment, gastrointestinal surgery, organ transplantation, technical development, the use of robotics in surgery, as well as updating methods and standards of continuous professional development.
The Jordanian medical team gave lectures on the importance of working as an integrated team in the treatment process, as well as the use of laparoscopy in pancreatic, colon and liver cyst surgery, and chaired a number of specialized discussion sessions.
