Government Communication Minister: Natural gas will reduce energy costs by 35-60%
Minister of Government Communication and Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani said that the government is committed to its pledge before the Lower House in its first Cabinet session to hold Cabinet sessions monthly in the governorates.
Momani pointed out during a press conference that the Prime Minister began his visit to Zarqa today by laying the foundation stone for the provincial council headquarters, and stressed in today's session that the government will begin reviewing legislation related to local administration next year.
He pointed out that the Prime Minister inaugurated a natural gas station on Tuesday morning, as part of a national program to support the delivery of natural gas to cities and industrial complexes. This project will have a direct impact on the industrial sector, given the low cost of energy required for gas production by a percentage ranging between (35% - 60%) compared to other types of fuel used in industries. This project will also contribute to enhancing the ability of local industries to compete, open new markets, and increase production by opening new production lines, providing more job opportunities for Jordanians, rationalizing energy use, and reducing carbon emissions.
