On Monday, Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II shared on Instagram pictures from the ending event of the fourth Jordan Camel Racing and Nabati Poetry Festival in Wadi Rum on Sunday.
The Crown Prince added a remark to the video, stating, 'During the Jordan Camel Racing and Nabati Poetry Festival, we reflect on our rich heritage and honor the camels for their traits of perseverance, power, and elegance.'
The final two rounds of the race at the Sheikh Zayed Camel Race Track in the Disah area were observed by His Royal Highness, as well as a presentation by the Camel Racing Unit of the Public Security Directorate. He also awarded prizes to the champions of the camel racing rounds, as well as the winner of the Most Beautiful Camel (Mazain) contest.
The first place award in the Nabati Poetry Competition was given to the winner by the Crown Prince, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture.
