Police arrest 14 drug dealers, including 3 dangerous criminals
The Anti-Narcotics Department arrested 14 drug dealers in nine targeted operations across several of the Kingdom’s governorates, including three individuals classified as dangerous.
The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated that the directorate continues to intensify efforts against drug-related activities, striking at the dens of dealers and promoters. In recent days, nine specific cases were handled, leading to significant arrests and seizures.
One of the most notable cases occurred in Ajloun Governorate, where intelligence gathering led to the arrest of a wanted individual classified as dangerous, who had been evading capture for an extended period. The individual was wanted for 56 cases, mainly related to drug offenses. The Anti-Narcotics team identified his hiding place, raided the location, and successfully apprehended him along with another wanted in 9 cases. Various quantities of narcotics were found in their possession.
In Jerash Governorate, another high-profile raid resulted in the capture of a dangerous individual wanted in 7 cases related to drug cases. A firearm and narcotics were seized at the scene. Meanwhile, in the central desert, a dangerous wanted individual was arrested alongside another person, both of whom were involved in drug-related activities.
In a separate case, authorities intercepted a postal package containing narcotics at a border crossing. Upon inspection, half a kilogram of crystal meth was discovered, leading to the arrest of the person linked to the shipment.
In Irbid Governorate, after extensive monitoring and intelligence gathering, a known drug dealer was raided and arrested. Authorities seized 2 kg of crystal meth from his location. Another raid in Irbid led to the arrest of a drug dealer in possession of synthetic hashish and narcotic pills.
In Aqaba Governorate, a drug dealer was apprehended with 35 hashish tablets, while in the capital, security forces raided a house used by three drug dealers, arresting them and seizing a firearm along with narcotics.
In Mafraq Governorate, two drug dealers were arrested, and 4 hashish tablets along with 600 grams of crystal meth were confiscated. All individuals involved have been referred to the Public Prosecutor of the State Security Court for further legal action. Petra
