JSMO issues conditions for accrediting used electric vehicle inspection centers
Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization (JSMO) has completed preparing the conditions and requirements for accrediting inspection centers for used electric vehicles, in accordance with the instructions for conformity assessment procedures for electric vehicles for the year 2024, previously published in the Official Gazette.
The conditions and requirements were approved after several meetings held by the organization with the concerned parties from the Chamber of Commerce, the Free Zones Investors Authority, and the maintenance and inspection centers that wish to provide this service, the JSMO said.
The organization explained that the conditions and requirements included many administrative and technical conditions that examination centers must meet in order to be accredited by the institution, including that the examination center has been established in accordance with Jordanian legislation and has obtained the necessary licenses to practice the profession from all relevant authorities.
