Jordan ranks 55th on Government AI Readiness Index
Jordan ranked 55th in the Government AI Readiness Index out of 193 countries this year, compared to 63rd out of 181 countries in 2022.
A statement by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship on Tuesday showed that Jordan ranked 5th in the Arab world, ahead of Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, and Tunisia, according to the report prepared by Oxford Insights.
The government readiness index for artificial intelligence is based on measuring three basic pillars: the government, the technology sector, and infrastructure, based on 39 sub-indices and 10 dimensions: innovation capacity, size, adaptability, digital capacity, governance, vision, data availability, infrastructure, human capital, and data representation.
Thus, Jordan has achieved the first goal of the Jordanian strategy for artificial intelligence and its implementation plan (2023 and 2027), which was approved by the Council of Ministers in October 2022.
