Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, will meet Sunday with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will arrive in the Kingdom on Sunday as part of a regional tour.
The Ministry’s official spokesperson, Sufyan Qudah, said that Safadi will discuss with Blinken the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza as a result of the raging Israeli war.
Safadi will also stress the necessity of immediately stopping the aggression, protecting civilians, and removing all obstacles that Israel places in the way of adequate and sustainable access to humanitarian and medical aid to all Gaza areas.
Safadi will reaffirm the firm Jordanian position in rejecting the displacement of Palestinians inside or outside their land and condemning it as a war crime and a dangerous escalation of the conflict.
The Foreign Minister will also hold extensive talks with Blinken about stopping the illegal Israeli measures in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and its Islamic and Christian holy sites, which are pushing the situation toward an explosion, Qudah added.
The two sides will also discuss bilateral and regional issues, according to Qudah.
