A joint statement by the occupation army, police, and the Shin Bet said that a cell working for Iran and receiving directions from a person residing in Jordan was arrested.
The statement added that the cell's mission was to assassinate Israeli officials, including National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and right-wing rabbi Yehuda Glick, who is one of the biggest instigators of the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The occupation security services stated that the person residing in Jordan was directing the cell on behalf of Iranian security officials.
The cell includes 5 people, 3 from the Jenin Governorate in the northern West Bank and 2 from within the Green Line, according to the statement.
The cell was tasked with burning Israeli cars and property and taking pictures of sensitive areas in Israel, the statement added.
