'Influencer' asks for free vehicle in exchange for social media promotion
An employee at a car finance company was stunned when an 'influencer' reached out and asked for a free car in exchange for 'exposure' on social media.
Taking to Reddit, the worker, believed to be from the UK, shared a picture of the email which was sent to the unnamed finance company.
The woman who claimed to have a following of 33,000 on Instagram, said she 'can't afford a new car' and would be 'massively grateful' if the company were to 'gift or loan' her a car once she had passed her driving test.
The 32-year-old mother said she would 'return the favour' by promoting the company online through her social media following.
But she was out of luck, as the employee revealed she had politely declined the influencer's proposition.
