President Mahmoud Abbas is expected to arrive in Cairo today where he will chair tomorrow a meeting for the heads of the Palestinian factions, according to Palestine’s ambassador to Egypt Diab al-Louh.
He said the President, during this two-day visit, will also meet with his Egyptian counterpart Abdul Fattah al-Sisi during which they will discuss the latest political developments and efforts to revive the peace process, as well as Egypt’s efforts to end the intra-Palestinian division.
The meeting of the heads of the factions is expected to discuss national unity and ending the 17-year-long division.
