ACC's trade exports up by 58.2% in 1st four months 2023-Statistics
The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC)'s exports of goods and commodities to Arab and foreign countries increased during the first third 2023 by 58.2%, compared to the same period last year.
According to the chamber's statistical data obtained by 'Petra,' ACC's exports during the January-March period 2023 amounted to JD401 million, compared to JD253 million for the same period last year.
The number of certificates of origin issued by ACC also rose during the first third 2023, by 7.9% , to reach 8,676, compared to 8,042 certificates during the same period last year, ACC figures revealed.
In this regard, ACC- issued certificates of origin during the first third 2023 went to multiple countries, most notably Saudi Arabia with 1,530 certificates, followed by the UAE at 1,221, Iraq at 614, Egypt at 276 and Switzerland at 9.
Exports, in terms of value, went to many countries, led by Iraq with a value of JD154 million, then Switzerland at about JD73 million, the UAE at about JD42 million, Egypt at JD30 million, and Saudi Arabia at about JD21 million, ACC's monthly statistical data showed.
The chamber’s exports during the first third 2023 were distributed among foreign products (re-exports) at a value of about JD180 million, then industrial products at about JD42 million, followed by agricultural products at JD34 million, and Arab products at about JD38 million, while the remaining exports went to other products.
