Jordan's exports to European Union countries up 73 pct in January 2023
The Kingdom's exports to the European Union countries grew in January 2023 by 72.9 percent to reach about JD22 million compared to JD13 million during the same month of last year.
According to foreign trade data issued by the Department of Statistics, Jordan's imports from European Union countries increased in January 2023 by 13.3 percent amounting to JD246 million compared to JD217 million during the same month of last year.
According to the data, the volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and the European Union countries increased last January to reach about JD268 million compared to JD230 million during the same month of last year.
The data also showed that the Kingdom's trade balance deficit with the European Union countries stood at JD224 million in January 2023 compared to JD204 million in January 2022.
Italy topped the list of European countries in terms of Jordanian exports to the European Union countries in January 2023 with JD6 million in exports, while Germany topped the list of countries from which Jordan imports with about JD58 million in imports.
