QAIA welcomed over 647,000 passengers during Feb2023
Airport International Group (AIG) announced that Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 647,563 passengers during February, an increase of 73.7% over the same month in 2022.
Moreover, QAIA witnessed 5,403 aircraft movements and handled 4,478 tonnes of cargo, representing growth rates of 35.8% and 5.3%, respectively, compared with 2022 figures.
Nicolas Claude, CEO of Airport International Group, said: 'We are pleased that passenger traffic at the airport has recovered.'
These numbers are testament to our collective work alongside our partners in attracting new airlines and opening new routes to regional and international destinations over the past year, as well as the Jordan Tourism Board’s (JTB) extensive promotion of the Kingdom in key international markets, Claude added.
'By working closely together, we continue to shape an even better-connected airport and further enhance the travel experience for our passengers via Jordan’s prime gateway to the world”, he commented.
