The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry Trade and Supply, Yanal Barmawi, said Tuesday that the ministry will set price ceilings for any commodity whose prices rise unjustifiably and exaggeratedly.

Barmawy added that the prices of some commodities have increased, but they are lower than their prices compared to previous years.

He pointed out that the majority of commodities witnessed a decline or stability in their prices.

He emphasized that all food commodities are available for the strategic stock and explained that the ministry cooperated with the industrial and commercial sectors to increase the strategic stock and provide more foodstuffs, particularly during Ramadan.
