Jordan, Morocco talk labour, vocational training cooperation
Jordan's labour minister Youssef Shamali and the Moroccan economic inclusion and employment minister, Younes Sekkouri, held talks Friday in Amman to explore cooperation on labour and vocational training.
Shamali commended the Moroccan support in providing a grant to establish and equip a specialised centre for vocational training in Amman.
Shamali and Sekkouri visited the 11-donum site allocated to the Vocational Training Corporation on the airport road to establishing this specialised training centre.
The Morocco-supported centre would work on building and developing the vocational and technical skills of younger Jordanians and focus on training them in the specialisations required in the labour market.
The training would include car maintenance, medical equipment formulation, specialised professions in hospitality and electronic equipment maintenance.
