CBJ urges public to validate security features in new JD50 banknotes
The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) urged the public to validate and ensure that security features are shown in the JD50 denomination, which it had previously published and clarified through the official local and social media outlets, as well as on the CBJ's website.
CBJ pointed out to the security features that distinguish these banknotes, include the watermark, hidden category number, security thread, ink visual effects, salient ink, tactile features.
Earlier today, Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel arrested members of a criminal network that counterfeited a number of the recently introduced JD50 banknotes.
