Due to the huge demand for red roses on Valentine's Day, he continued, the price of roses on the stock market increased by around 30 to 40 piasters per rose in comparison to regular days.
For its part, companies selling and importing flowers witnessed a demand for purchases by flower shops Tuesday, on the occasion of Valentine's Day.
Owner of the flower company, Mazen Ghalayni, said that the demand is high from flower shops in preparation for Valentine's Day.
He noted that red roses have the most demand (at a rate of 90%), cost between JD2 and JD4.5 for a single rose in flower stores, and that he expected high customer demand from the citizens.
