JFDA, Algerian pharmaceutical agency discuss cooperation
Jordan Food and Drugs Administration (JFDA) Director General Nizar Mhaidat on Monday discussed with Algeria's National Agency of Pharmaceutical Products (ANPP) prospects for closer cooperation.
During a visit to Algeria where he took a first-hand look at the pharmaceutical market, Mhaidat gave a briefing on the JFDA's expertise as a leading national agency and reference concerned with ensuring the safety, quality and effectiveness of pharmaceuticals, whether those manufactured locally or imported.
He explained that the JFDA monitors and tracks drugs, starting with raw materials and throughout the various stages of manufacture until becoming a final product ready for patient use.
The Jordanian delegation is on a visit to Algeria, including a tour of Jordanian pharmaceutical factories there, as part of efforts to enhance cooperation in the industry.
