Twenty-six Students graduate from Samsung Innovation Campus Program
Samsung Electronics Levant recently concluded its CSR initiative Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) that was launched last October under the vision of Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People, in collaboration with King’s Academy to develop key human resources who will lead the 4th industrial revolution.
On December 7th, 2022, Samsung Electronic Levant concluded this initiative with 26 graduates from King’s Academy. The students, who were selected by the academy based on their interest in developing their technical skills, went through six weeks of training sessions that were conducted by a team from Samsung’s Research and Development Center in Jordan.
The curriculum was designed based on the R&D Team’s current operations, which primarily focuses on coding and programming AI, IoT, Big Data, B2B, and field tests. The program aimed to provide students with the technical skills they need to succeed in this industry and trained participants on how to control robots using Python to program them. They also provided training on a wide range of soft skills to prepare them for their transition to enter the job market or pursue higher education.
In addition, a competition was held on December 5, 2022, where three groups of students were awarded a Galaxy Z Flip4, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Buds2 Pro.
Samsung Innovation Campus is derived from the company’s belief that innovation should push beyond traditional boundaries and inspire more people to be involved. Therefore, this program is designed to provide students with the technical skills they need to succeed in the ICT Technology industry, as well as produce well-rounded professionals. Along with the technical training, students were trained on a wide range of soft skills such as communication, empathy, creativity, and collaboration.
